BLS publishes information about non-residential construction under PPI, but not residential construction, although BLS publishes information on employment under residential construction. See https://www.census.gov/construction/cpi/ for new housing construction price indices. So non-residential construction . is under PPI, not clear what the housing construction prices should be classified as - likely independent. Construction Price Index → Non-residential (which is also under PPI) and Residential (which is not under PPI), simply because that's the way it is in the US. Check with Lucy to see what Canada does.
