Business' relevance

This competency question aims to link an investigational medicinal product to a manufactured item. As already described for CQ6, an investigational medicinal product is defined as a pharmaceutical product or combination of pharmaceutical products or placebo(s) being tested or used as a reference in a clinical trial, including products already with a marketing authorization but used or assembled (packaged) in a way different from the authorized form, used for an unauthorized indication, or used to gain further information about the authorized form, and is the term given to a medicinal product used in a clinical trial. A manufactured item is defined as a good  that embodies the qualitative and quantitative composition of a product as contained in the packaging of the medicinal product.
