UC2-CQ2.1: Which Marketing Authorization Number(s) does a sellable article (Material in ERP) have?

Business' relevance

This competency question addresses the point of materials destination on the market based on MAA status. From a manufacturing site perspective it is usually not easy to identify to which market a specific material (e.g., SKU) would go. This is especially true for regional packaging that got reduced scope over time (e.g., initial CIS region, now reduced to only Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine). It may also be that the site is supplying to a local distribution hub and that the final country of destination of the goods is not even known. There is a need to link a specific material to its authorization in countries and, therefore, to link the ERP and RIM systems. This would facilitate the distribution and the supply chain of the products along with the work of Qualified Persons (QPs) performing the release of the products according to locally registered specifications. The identification of isolated country specific presentations could also help to optimize the portfolio and make it leaner.
