ISO IDMP Standards 

ISO IDMP is a set of standards developed by ISO. For complete reference and access to standards please go to the official ISO page.  

For the IDMP Ontology the most important ISO standards are

  • Substance: ISO-11238, TS19844
  • Medicinal Product: ISO-11615, TS20443
  • Pharmaceutical Product: ISO-11616, TS20451
  • Pharmaceutical Dose Forms: ISO-11239
  • Units of Measurement: ISO-11240
  • Harmonized Datatypes: ISO-21090


ISO IDMP Data Model Diagram for Authorized Medicinal Product

For the Authorized Medicinal Product from ISO 11615 we've created a draw.io-diagram (see attachment below). This can be used and modified based on your own needs for internal implementations. 

How to open the IDMP data model:

  • Store file at the bottom of this page
  • Go to https://www.diagrams.net/, click on start now at the top right corner
  • Open existing diagram
  • Select the drawio file
  • IDMP data model opens in browser
  • Save or export in other format to import in other tool
