IDMP Ontology is a set of individual OWL ontologies. Each OWL ontology can be at one of the four levels of maturity:

  1. informative
  2. preliminary
  3. provisional
  4. release

For the detailed explanations of these levels follow the links. Note that the levels are general in the sense that they apply to all entities, not just ontologies. For the moment we use them only for the latter.

Note that the release maturity level is different from a release of the IDMP Ontology, which is an event in its lifecycle when a particular commit gets a Git tag. Since the tag applies to the whole repository, all ontologies therein, irrespective of their maturity level, are released with this tag.

For the list of all releases of the IDMP Ontology visit: https://github.com/edmcouncil/idmp/releases.
