Lucy was unable to join this morning due to travel.
Hourly earnings are based on the Current Employment Statistics Survey (CES) - also is the survey that is used for job gains and losses for the month. Includes the number of jobs added, also broken down by sector. Population is establishment population (but only those that are incorporated) ... longitudinal database of businesses, updated via a quarterly census of employment and wages, through unemployment insurance reporting ... used for data on businesses, employment surveys, samples are drawn from there, but likely doesn't include self-employed persons. Total non-farm payroll employment - is part of the population ... establishments that are private, non-farm, and have payrolls ... Dan will check to make sure.
Additional indicators we need – PCE, PCE Deflator, Employment Cost Index (ECI), Jobless Claims, Housing Starts, Existing Homes Sales
