Today we continued our discussion of next steps and what it would take to map FIBO to ACTUS, to ensure that we have coverage of the elements needed to perform ACTUS-based cash flow analysis. Jeff shared that two of the contract types in ACTUS, PAM and ANN, cover 80% of the kinds of contracts that are typically held by banks, and so we agreed to start there. We created a starting point page for the mapping in FBC, given that FBC provides the bridge across the domain areas for securities and derivatives in FIBO, which is at Mapping from ACTUS Contract Terms to FIBO, for capturing the mapping.
Jeff will create a spreadsheet summarizing the attributes for a PAM contract type as a starting point for the mapping work and will send it to Elisa. Pete will assist Jeff with automation where possible, and we'll continue working on this over the coming weeks. Having such a mapping is critical to gap analysis in FIBO, so that we can claim completeness for the vast majority of contract types covered by ACTUS.
