 Discussion

Today we continued working on SEC-196, to revise the definition of ticker symbol. While doing so, we determined that we also needed to update the definition of a RIC Code, which was still defined as a Reuters instrument code, despite the fact that the organization was spun out as Refinitiv a number of years ago and more recently acquired by the London Stock Exchange Group. We completed the revisions today, and will push the resolution for approval and merge once we’ve added more references to the overall ontologies for securities identification.
