Today we continued our discussion of corporate actions. Changes to the GLEIF ontologies to account for these actions are underway, and we could, if we choose to do so, link to their approach in addition to representing them in a standalone fashion per ISO 15022. It remains to be seen how that will evolve, but the document discussing the corporate actions of concern to the GLEIF are listed in https://www.leiroc.org/publications/gls/roc_20181030-1.pdf, and there is more detail in https://www.gleif.org/content/2-about-lei/6-common-data-file-format/1-upcoming-versions/lei-cdf_version_3.1-documentation.html.
The XML schema containing the related data with their GLEIF definitions is available at https://www.gleif.org/content/2-about-lei/6-common-data-file-format/1-upcoming-versions/2021-03-04_lei-cdf-v3-1.xsd.
Note that a possible solution involves separating the description of the corporate actions from the codes - currently they are in the same ontology. Then we should have an ontology for the ISO 15022 codes and a separate ontology for the GLIEF codes, given that they have different names and are not 1-1 with the ISO codes.
