Discussion
Note that Elisa will be in Brooklyn the weekend of May 9-11 for a wedding and may stay on into the following week, with the knowledge graph conference on Roosevelt Island from May 5 on. Hopefully there will be time to get together with John and Mark while there.
This week we’ve integrated some corrections with respect to representing securities as the basis for collateral for certain loans – see BE-254 and FBC-324, as well as completing DER-112, which corrects misalignment of the use of hasUnderlier, including the wrong use of that term with respect to asset-backed securities.
Today we initiated work on SEC-203, which requests the addition of private credit fund and the need to differentiate private credit fund from private equity fund. We also discussed the need to differentiate between private credit fund and CLOs. We will need to add features to the ontology to make those kinds of distinctions, which we should do as a part of this issue. There may be some additional detail required to talk about what happens when something goes astray in an underlying member of the relevant pool with respect to CLOs and private credit funds as well, such as delinquency or foreclosure.
The urgency of addressing mortgage foreclosure issues and the need for risk management and assistance for those in workout situations, particularly as related to funds that depend on these instruments, were highlighted.
Note that there will be no meeting on the 21st due to the OMG Technical Meeting in Reston that week.
