Proceedings:
We discussed some of the parallel work going on with respect to statistics at OMG for the first part of our call this week. We then talked a little about the definitions for U-4 to U-6 for unemployment statistics, available at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t15.htm. U-3 is the official unemployment rate, and the definitions needed for the terms we are missing are in a note at the bottom of the table. U-2 includes U-1 and U-3 includes U-2, etc. (Dan will confirm). The more specific definitions that are important to capture are those needed to represent U-4 to U-6, which is what we are missing and that are covered in the note.
Dan and Elisa will take some time to add some of these definitions in a 1-1 session during the week next week and will report back to this group next Friday.
