Proceedings:
Discussed the fact that this week represents the end of the quarter, and that EDMC will be publishing the current set of ontologies as the quarterly release later this week. Going forward for the SEC FCT: top priority issues are the ability to represent a share class (via a property - we have the classes at present) and to represent prices more concisely, including adjusted and unadjusted prices. Pete will provide examples we can use for testing the results.
Also, we need to review the approach to representing common shares, to build out the set of classes appropriate for representing the various aspects of what is covered in the CFI standard using multiple classification rather than what we have now, and to ensure complete coverage of preferred shares, limited partnership units, and depositary receipts. Once we have those we can close SEC-75 with respect to coverage of the CFI standard.
We also discussed the emerging AML effort, which Harsh Sharma is leading. It will be interesting to see how their use cases evolve, and what, if anything, ends up being needed with respect to ontology revision. Elisa will look at revising the beneficial owner content in BE to complete the situational model for that as a starting point, along with relationships between family members.
