Proceedings:
Discussed the current status of the representation of common stock. We are missing a couple of dividend dates, as recorded in: https://jira.edmcouncil.org/browse/SEC-117. We do have the number of shares outstanding - https://www.investopedia.com/terms/e/eps.asp, but no restriction for that, which is needed (min 0).
We also are missing the concept of earnings per share, including potentially the means to calculate it (we do have retained earnings, but it is not connected to anything).
Steve Creek has been working on whittling the information that is essential to capture in the ontology down to something manageable, but has been out ill, so hopefully when he is back we can move forward on some of this.
There are a few issues we can resolve in the interim - dividend dates, as above, and the restriction for shares outstanding, and connecting retained earnings to the company.
For finalizing the current set of changes, Elisa will (a) add a restriction on share for hasSharesOutstanding (min 0), (2) modify the restriction on FIGI that it identifies an instrument or a listing, (3) add the remaining Citi and JPMC shares and company details as appropriate, and (4) show how to represent the same instrument on multiple exchanges. At that point, we'll do a pull request for the set of changes made to date.
There will be no call next week due to the US President's Day holiday, and we will resume on February 24th. If Steve isn't back at that point, we'll work on representing a bond, e.g., for IBM CP, as in the use case.
