Proceedings:
The discussion today was about how to represent FpML reference rates - which are classes in the original ontology, but we are rethinking that based on examples from swaps that we've been testing. Every FpML rate has a currency, is based on some benchmark, most have tenor, and many have distributors that are not the original publisher of that rate. If we can strip off the various dimensions and reduce the duplication by distributor, that will make these rates more reusable in our examples and easier to consume / reuse in our use cases.
We will continue the refactoring and create a couple of examples we can use to test with our swap examples and with bonds as well, to make sure that the result works. The conclusion was that we should probably represent these FpML rates as quantity kinds that are dimensionless, and then the actual rates as quantity values reflecting the quantity kind.
