Proceedings:
Today we discussed two topics: (1) continued resolution of issue IND-77, which is to create individuals that demonstrate how to represent the constituents of an index, and (2) IND-90, which reflects the need to update the FpML interest rates and represent those as individuals.
With respect to IND-77, Elisa has created (a) individuals in Business Entities representing the non-bank legal entities we decided to include, (2) corresponding individuals in FBC, (3) individuals corresponding to the instruments in SEC, and (4) starting point individuals for the S&P 500 and DJIA in IND. These are available for review in Elisa's Fork, branch IND-77, and were reviewed during the meeting. In general, comments were that it looked right, and that using the exchange-listed security as the reference rather than the common share was correct. We agreed to add a property for the date that a constituent is added to the basket, since that information is readily available before finalizing the content, in addition to pulling in the other securities.
For IND-90, we agreed that the changes Elisa has made so far to interest rates, including merging classes from interest rate publishers and eliminating that ontology looked good as the basis for Pete to generate the individual rates. We also agreed that Elisa will do the pull request for what we have done so far for interest rate representation today, and once reviewed will integrate that so that we can then pull it into IND-77 to eliminate any conflicts going forward.
Once IND-90 has been merged in github, Elisa will finish this phase of IND-77, and do that pull request early next week. Representation of the values of the index at some point in time, including the values of the constituents, would done under a new issue.
